The wait is over. shake & stir theatre co’s highly anticipated June/July Holiday Workshops are back!

Once again the shake crew is looking for secondary students who are…

  2. Highly enthusiastic
  3. Absolutely in love with all things creative
  4. Keen to perform with like minded, talented young actors
  5. Eager to develop their acting skills in an intense professional environment

Over five wicked days you will participate in numerous specialised workshops chosen by YOU and covering many styles of theatre. Facilitated by a team of youthful, professional actors led by the Co-Artistic Directors of shake & stir theatre co – Ross Balbuziente, Nelle Lee and Nick Skubij, the crew will also be joined by Tim Dashwood star of FAME The Musical touring the nation and playing at QPAC in June-Julyt. This holiday workshop is going to be EPIC. Workshops on offer will include: TheatreSports/Improvisation, Musical Theatre, Clowning, Film & TV and Acting for Camera, Audition Techniques, Group Devised Theatre, Scene Work, Shakespeare and a few extra surprises throughout the week. This is going to be big. So big, in fact, that the workshops will be held over numerous spaces in one of Queensland’s grandest and most historic creative venues – Brisbane’s Old Museum. The grand Concert Hall will host the showcase performance on the final evening for parents and friends.

If you are considering running away to Fame school, if Glee gets your pulse racing or if you are determined to study Acting at university – then shake & stir’s workshop format will inspire and challenge you. You will be treated like a professional young actor (in training) and will be motivated to push your artistic boundaries in a stimulating and rewarding environment.
