shake & stir theatre co is proud to announce the launch of their latest offering - Acting Classes for Secondary Students who are seriously addicted to the Performing Arts. A strictly limited number of students will be allowed to join the greenroom each year and applications for the cast of 2010 are now open.

We know how much young actors just want to perform so the greenroom has been developed with their burning theatrical desires in mind. The year will be divided into 4 terms; each term the cast will discover a different genre and will rehearse a fully staged production.

That’s right – 4 productions each year!

Genres may include: Brecht, Shakespeare, Musical Theatre, Persona, Absurd Theatre, Australian Theatre, Film & TV, Greek, Physical Theatre and many more.

In the greenroom, we believe students will learn through process and performance, instead of spending lessons on drama activities and exercises the cast will hone their skill through rehearsing and of course acting in each production. Parents, friends, industry members and acting agents will be invited throughout the year to view the cast in action.

Each production will be directed by a team of young, professional arts practitioners who have worked in the industry collectively for over 50 years in a myriad of genres.

	Term 2 ONE ACT PLAYS Directed by the shake & stir artistic directors Commencing April 22, 2010 Over the course of 10 weeks , the greenroom students will rehearse a number of one act plays for a performance at the conclusion of the term.
