We asked teachers what they wanted touring their schools in 2010 and after extensive deliberation and discussion we are excited to deliver the verdict - shake & stir theatre co’s 2010 MOST WANTED. In 2010 shake & stir is back with another suite of sweet shows, including 9 touring productions, our Masterclass series and a soon to be released Main Stage season.

Our research concludes that teachers require theatre-in-education that makes their job easier. It was our goal when creating shake & stir theatre co to present productions that assist teachers and appeal to students. Our 2010 season enables students to comprehend, digest and relate to their classroom studies and ultimately inspire further learning. Over the last 3 years, we have built our company into a complete Shakespeare touring resource. Our performances offer a comprehensive exploration into Shakespeare including all dramatic elements – character interpretations, themes, an introduction to the Bard, film vs. theatre, Shakespeare’s relationship with other types of theatre including Brecht and of course relevance to modern day audiences.

In 2010 we have Shakespeare covered from all angles.

In addition to our Shakespeare productions, we are very pleased to once again offer I Crave My Space & Other Cyber Adventures for secondary students and Kaleidoscope and Spaced Out for primary students. These shows were a hit in 2009 and are sure to resonate once again in 2010.
